You don't and can't know that.  Maybe Berkman makes a bad throw to the cutoff man or the cutoff man makes a bad throw home.  Either way, Rowand's bad baserunning screwed any chance of it happening.  You know Cora would have waved him home.

 

He had already thrown to the cutoff man without looking at Rowand. It was there when he was just getting to third. HE HAD NO CHANCE. I know you like to hate on eveyr player and blame them all for everything, but theres no reason this time.

 

Might as well wait until they actually do something that hurts the team. Jeez man. Do you just feel better when you rag on every player on our team? Is it reverse mojo or something that I'm just not seeing.

If Lidge is throwing like he did last night, Backe will look like an A ball pitcher next to him. Hopefully he'll bring the stuff he had the previous 2 outings. 2 runs would be huge.

Actually, I believe there was only about 10 percent confident yesterday. The rest were all throwing in the towel every inning.

Lidge has got two innings in him at least. He comes wee willie, funny thing I feel good with Willie up. I like his patience at the plate and with a walk he can get a SB into scoring position.
