Ichiro being the solid defender he is, with the arm and speed he has, I was thinking he could play CF. Send Rowand in a trade, maybe, since he can probably play any OF position. Leave Dye in the outfield, instead of making him learn a new position.

No. Aaron stays. Dye is a big boy.. and 1st base is easily adaptable, IMO.

I'd give up just about anyone except starting pitching and anyone in the pen under 30 years old for Ichiro.

I believe he has 2 years $22 mil left on his contract. Even though he wants to be traded, I think the Mariners will do absolutely everything in their power to keep him. That being said, there are just so many great things and options he brings to the table. We could really trade either Pods or Arow if we wanted (2 lefties at the top of the order? doable I guess...). Normally I'd speculate for another paragraph about the possibilities, but due to the unlikely nature of this occurrence, I digress.

Nobody seems to be mentioning the price. I think that it would be super high. I think they'd ask for Buehrle and B-Mac. There would be a TON of teams lining up to get him. Thats my issue with oogling over that lineup. If we keep that lineup intact then we will be trading away half our rotation to get him.

I am not sure the rumors are he wants to be traded but more that he wants the clubhouse environment to improve. He said he wants to fulfill his contract but just wants the team to improve.

 

Even if he was being shopped Sea would ask an arm and a leg for him. I would imagine a SP with an OF like Anderson. I don't want to touch our SP and Anderson is our future. I am not saying I wouldn't want him, but think of the costs.
