Other Chicago Boards

Featured Replies

Just wondering, but are there any other boards similar to this for the Bears, Cubs or Bulls ?

Thanks in advance!

Not much for the Cubs. There are a few Bears boards. I've long wondered if there would be interest in opening up other boards specific to the Bears and Bulls.

Cubs have a bigger board than the bulls specificly do. I don't know if the bears have a specific board or not but i do know a couple off message boards ( that cover the entire nfl) are surrounded with bears fans for whatever reason.

www.nflfans.com/bearstalk is a Bears message board. Not a ton of traffic though, but its been around a long time.

kffl.com has a huge Bears following.

Realgm.com is the best for Bulls and in general IMO. I spend most of my time there. Great great site. Off topic board is good for kicks and giggles. Huge Bulls following there too. Plus they have a tradechecker and have expanded to baseball, football and hockey.

i think a lot of bears fans stick around the official board for whatever reason. hate that place. i go to nfl-fans.com which is a nfl board (not team specific) but has a very large number of bears fans there...

www.northsidebaseball.com is a cubs one, but it's unavailable at the moment...

cbfans.com is the best for the Bears and Realgm.com, then go to the Bulls forum, that is the best for the Bulls.

I would take realgms bulls board over bbb... but as a whole? I view bbb being superior.

Heck if there is serious interest, there is no reason we can't set up sister boards to this one, right? Something like Bullstalk or Bearstalk or something like that? Starting off it wouldn't be too big, so it wouldn't be expensive to have hosted, and it wouldn't be too hard to throw up the basic format for the board. The hardest part would be putting posters on the board.

Or i was thinking you could even just have a "chicago sports" board, if that was easier. Of course, you don't want to turn this place into 50 boards...

I was even thinking if somehow like a Illini Board a Bulls Board, a Bears board all seperate but the off topic boards all tie into one or something.

You guys know more about this than i do, but i think that if you did have a chicago board and put the hawks, bulls, bears, illini, depaul, uiuc...AND THE WNBA TEAM WE'RE GETTING...in there it would probably be an active board, but still easy enough to navigate through the teams and the threads.
