April 19, 200619 yr Yeah this whole seeding thing is stupid out west. You have the Mavericks with the 2nd best record getting the 4th seed. The 5 and 6 seeds are going to have a better record than the 3rd seed which means the 6th seed gets home court advantage over the 3rd seed. lol then you have a mess out in the Eastern Conference with teams 5-8 fighting it out.
April 19, 200619 yr It's a damn shame the Bulls could actually get the 5th seed. What the hell has happened to the East since the Jordan era? I'll still take it.
April 19, 200619 yr So what's everybody's end-of-the-season awards look like? Here are mine: ROY= Chris Paul (tough choice) MIP= Boris Diaw DPOY= Bruce Bowen (they better not give it to Ben Wallace again) Coach of the year= Mike D'Antoni 6TH MAN= Jerry Stackhouse MVP= Steve Nash (the Suns were top 3 in the western conference all season without that Amare guy. Nash is clearly the main reason).
April 20, 200619 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 11:29 AM) Pacers locked the 6 seed with their win over DB's Magic 89-83 tonight. Yep, we gave most of our game time to our bench guys but we gave it a shake. Ariza looked very good on the boards (he better be re-signed), while Dooling and Arroyo looked the goods at the guard spots as per usual. Dunno why Darko didn't get more minutes though.

That's a real good excuse, but he did have Marion who is a really, really good player. Who the hell did Kobe have? He single handedly took his team to the playoffs. The only player who is a "cute" player is Lamar Odom and he's only stepped up his game this past week. I'm not saying Kobe is my pick, but I wouldn't say Nash is the clear favorite right now either even though Nash is very, very deserving. I just think I can really see The Lakers giving a good series in the playoffs, maybe even pulling the upset since they are the # 7th seed now I'd also like Billups to win it too, but I think they are gonna overlook him. It's a shame too.

It's a shame too. Guys like T-mac and Iverson have reached the playoffs as 7th and 8th seeds with average supporting casts. It's not really that big a deal. Marion is indeed a very good player. But c'mon, you can't compare the importance of the two. Not only have the Suns won over 50 games without Amare, they've done it with 5-7 new players. Who was Boris Diaw before this year? Who was James Jones before this year? Raja Bell? Eddie House? Nash makes dudes better. Period. The Lakers don't match-up well at all with the Suns. The Suns are 7-1 against them the last two years (the one game the Lakers won was when Nash and Bell were out). The Suns have way too much depth and too many great shooters for an average team like the Lakers to handle. Edited April 20, 200619 yr by Jordan4life_2006
