SoxFest

Featured Replies

Didn't see this posted anywhere, so here it is. They finally updated the list of those who will be attending SoxFest (at least the ones who have agreed to attend so far):

SoxFest 2006

Players, coaches and managers scheduled to appear at SoxFest 2006 include Ozzie Guillen, Greg Walker, Harold Baines, Tim Raines, Ken Williams, Brian Anderson, Jason Gage, Neal Cotts, Jermaine Dye, Jon Garland, Bobby Jenks, Rob Mackowiak, Paul Konerko, Brandon McCarthy, A.J. Pierzynski, Scott Podsednik, Alex Bozich, Cliff Politte, Jim Thome, Chris Widger, Ed Farmer, Hawk Harrelson and Darrin Jackson. Please note that not all players listed will be in attendance all three days of SoxFest.

A schedule of autograph signings, clinics and seminars will be posted closer to the event.

I've never gone to Soxfest since I'm never around at that time. Is it usually just the guys from America? That's what it looks like here, for the most part.

thats a hell of a lineup for Soxfest though. All people going should leave happy after seeing those guys

Well, you'd figure that wouldn't exactly be convenient for players who spend their winters out of the country. Never really thought about it, but it does seem like not many foreign players show up. Oh well, cant really blame them. They spend the whole season far far away from their homes and family, so I doubt they're in a rush to fly into Chicago for a weekend.

Either way, I've been going to this thing for a few years now, and this is by far the best lineup of current players that I've seen. Really looking forward to it!

i didn't see lisa dergan's name on that list ;)

Mackowiak and Thome have gotta love this. They get to party with their family, friends, and fans near their hometowns.

I'm guessing Crede will be in attendance once he gets signed hopefully soon. I'm suprised Mark's name on the list since he's been there the past couple of years. Also I wonder I'd love to listen to Hermy and see how his back is doing but oh well. I would love to have my Count, Mark,Jn and Freddy with Coop autographed but that might not ever happen. Its still a great lineup. Looking forward to seeing Thome this year as well as Big Bad Bobby Jenks.

A huge, huge omission.

This looks like one of the better lists that they've been able to compile.

I always go to the seminars. That is the best stuff.

No Buehrle again?

WTF?

No Freddy, No Contreras, No Iguchi, No Uribe, No Crede, No Vazquez.

I expected more out of this, especially coming off of a World Series win.

maybe if his stalker would stop coming to the fest, he wouldn't have to hide from all the fans :P

Dont' worry guys..I'm pretty sure that most will be added late! usually when the whole scheduale comes out, like times of who's signign and what not, more guys will be added!

I heard a rumor that Willie will be there, even though he's currently a free agent.

Pablo Ozuna will be getting his face shined that weekend, sorry man.

Honestly, when did they start putting hobos on the Soxfest list?

Technically speaking, Steff gave Kenny some great praise last Soxfest. She was really pleased with the moves the Sox made. It was a warm and fuzzy moment

ROFL....I know that was you who updated the thread. Hopefully the addition makes this a wortwhile Soxfest for ya :P

No "its not delivery it's Bajenaru" is bs. I'm just happy to not see Steve Perry on there. One would think now Chris Singleton will get added to the list, but then again, Score may not be able to swing that xtra scratch for such an elite showcase. :huh
