in the Sunday TRIB ?

Featured Replies

reading that gets me so pumped for 2 weeks. I can't wait to head to the park for the 2nd and 3rd games of the season.

So I guess we could turn this thread into our own advice about how to spend your day at the park:

1) church parking lot behind RF, you'll get on the highway 10x faster.

2) get there early, tailgate, get in the park as soon as it opens, watch BP

3) Kosher Dogs + onions OR brats should be your only meal options.

4) Go up on the fan deck for part of BP

5) Keep score during the game

6) Actually watch all the pre-game festivites....especially the videos

I miss the place so much.

13. Stay home and talk to your kids or take them to the park to throw around a ball. Save the $300 you spend on tickets and popcorn for their college education.

Every time I read about a kid who goes ape s*** and shoots like 17 people, the first thing that pops into my mind is: Not enough ballgames with dad.

Exactly, gotta bring the kids to ballgames. It doesn't necessary have to be baseball, but it could be any other sport. Best times spent as a kid are with dad at a game.

.....and you don't HAVE to drop $300 to do it either.

One of my absolute favorite things about the park is when you see a kid there and you can tell it's his or her 1st time at a ML park. That wide eyed look of pure and geniune joy is priceless......sorry I digress once again.

Oh no...why are these people sharing this...get there 3 hours early, get food, then head to the 3rd base side for autographs! psh, people aren't supposed to knwo this inadvance! crap

That guy is a douche. Him and LindaS and some other cubs trolls run that messageboard into the ground anytime something good about the Sox is discussed

The place is open THREE hours before game time?

No. They say they open the gates 2 hours before game time, but it's usually about 90 minutes. I think I've only seen the Sox take BP once before.

Rick, you don't HAVE to buy tickets from the Cubs' in-house scalpers....either that, or cut back on the f***ing popcorn!!!

also in tomorrow's trib, the second of 3 commemorative sox posters. first one was in last sundays trib.

I got it and it's a poster of all the Sports Sections of the day after a Sox playoff game. Pretty neat.

I may have let out a little secret on that comments page: Section 115 corn off the cob, section 112 hot beef sandwiches.
