Bobby still getting the job done. Mark you are awesome. Paul you are locked in. w00t :headbang

I will try to explain what gooch did.

Imagine the same hit that Uribe fielded to end the world series. Except when the ball landed, it took a ridiculous backspin towards first base, Iguchi was charging and fielded the ball completely offbalance. As he was falling to the ground, literally inches off the ground, Iguchi turned and threw the ball to Konerko to get the out. He was falling towards Jenks, keep in mind. It was amazing, he had no business getting the ball towards first base, much less into Konerkos mitt. Play of the month /year /century.

Ozzie was in amazement by his facial recation.. he couldn't believe what he just seen. Priceless

If that play by Iguchi is not the #1 web gem tonight then I call Shenanigans.

Bobby getting his hook over makes him a hell of a lot more dangerous. His location was on today, and he got the save.

Buerhle had a great game, and Kong provided the O. If Kong and Thome are both as dangerous as they appear to be, jesus.

No s***. Thome is a little off right now, and Konerko stepped right up. This team is hitting the crap out of the ball.

I figured Jenks would come in... some seriuos gas after Marks slow stuff.

Mercy!!!!!

BTW....this game was so similar to the Buehrle game vs the Mariners last year where PK hit both homers to win in that super fast game.

Exactly what I was thinking.

The funny thing is these two will feed off of each others success. And it really has had an effect on Iguchi.

With Thome hitting the way he has, pitchers will challenge Gooch. He has feed more off of a strong 3 hole hitter this year more than anyone.

With Thome hitting the way he has, pitchers who are mainly right handed will pitch around him to get to Kong.

With Thome on base, Kong will get some more fastballs to hit as they dont want to get into a big inning.

And finally Dye will get a lot of pickup work from pitchers who s*** the bed from facing Kong and Thome. This is the Manny - Ortiz effect. Maybe just maybe not as potent, but pretty damn imposing.

I just saw the replay and still can't believe Gooch made that throw! :gosox1:

We would be very dangerous if Pods ever gets going. Thats a big if, in my eyes.

Wow I just saw the Gooch throw on ESPN..... I am speechless..... Iguchi can play some serious D.... but omg...... best play I have ever seen

An ace to First too on the throw

Holy crap.. I just saw the Gooch play in ESPN Motion, and wow. Great play. Yea, he didn't have to rush it, so the throw wasn't that great, but still a nice play :)

the play needs to be pinned on this website for all to watch.
