Widger mentioned last week that Garland was having shoulder issues, but seemed to be feeling better before his last start.

I saw that quote, and was surprised that not more was made about it.

He apparently also has issues with his balls.

Shoulder problems = scared of bats = afraid to throw strikes

Over 50 pitches by Moyer already.

nice hit aj

Woohoo AJ!

Base hit to RF

I'm listening to the Mariner radio feed on XM and they just spent 2-3 minutes talking about how much they respected Konerko for showing loyalty to the team and resigning with them for less money. That was pretty cool to hear on another station.

Jimmy shouldve tested Ichiro's arm...

Men on 2nd and 3rd. Could use that big hit.

A.J. up to .356 now, nice to see some bats actually get off to a hot start for us, instead of the normal .200 we usually hit in April

Big hit here, as you'd hate to see 5 guys left in scoring position in first 3 innings.

This lineup is awfully bad for a series opener

Moyer has Cintron set up for the low change away.

Anyone know how used up the Mariner bullpen is? No way Moyer goes deep into this one.

Come on, pick them up! No more LOB! Get em in!

DOH! :(

I'd never thought I'd say this, but I miss Crede in this lineup. Cintron's swing is way too long against a guy like Moyer.

Oh well. We were do for a RISP game like this. Just keep em off the board and keep battling.

Good grief....I still can't imagine how a World Series contending team has to play an infielder in the outfield once a week?

sigh Pablo

There's Ozuna's F' up. No way Scotty would have let that fall, even if it was a lefty at the plate. Maybe.

Who gives a rat's ass about the 2003 Red Sox? Seriously Hawk, STHU and call the game.

Very good sequence by Garland to pitch over the bloop hit.

Why...he was simply answering the question someone e-mailed him. I actually think it's refreshing to hear Hawk talk about something non-homerish related.

LAAAAAAAAA up 1-0 in the 3rd.

Once again, Konerko did not take less money. The 2 teams who were offering him equal/more money were in states with higher tax rates than Illinois. Unless he could talk Baltimore out of $70 million, he took the best offer.
