Ummm....KC is 1-1 in this series vs the Twins, and they face Santana tomorrow.

When the sox score alot, they score nada the next day, expect a 2-1 final or something.

Washburn's control is fantastic so far. He's hitting his spots on every pitch.

The swings are way too long against someone like Washburn. Hopefully, we'll have better ABs the second time through the order.

He's in a "platoon" with Jeremy Reed, and in 2005, in 267 PA had an OBP of .287 and an OPS+ of 67.

 

He'd be fine in a pinch runner role, or as a defensive replacement. But he got into 81 games last year.

 

He's trotted out there way too much with better players on the roster.

This might a case of who ever scores first. Game could be over with by Letterman tonight.

He did this last night with Pinero and he got rocked, and Washburn keeps shaking off breaking pitches and going with his fastball more. The more Wash trys to pound in, the more he will make a mistake over the plate.

You make out that every single pitcher that comes up against the sox is the reincarnation of cy young, that way if the sox dont hit it sounds a lot better than we hit like s*** against a mediocre pitcher. Wash is good, but guys who pound in on the sox become meat. Guys like Rogers and Moyer who spot away with crap and slow, slower, slowest are guys who give us fits.

Oh f***. OH f***! 1-2 and he hit 'em. This is not good at all, very very very very very very bad. I might be turning this game off if this keeps up. f***!
