Sox vs Angels Game Thread

Can someone admit it was lack of control and not getting squeezed that got him into this trouble? I know i am not the only one that realizes a ball at the letters in not a strike... yet everyone has said otherwise today.

I hope to hell that no one said he was getting squeezed. Half of his pitches seemed to be knuckleballs that he lost grip of and flew way high and outside.

The first bad inning since Friday night....and what happens on the boards?

Lets all hope McCarthy can give us 3 strong innings tonight, and become an option to start if Contreras is out longer than expected.

Well I'm not watching and from reading this board it seems he's gotten bad call after bad call.

The umps probably will never give a newbie bbay pitcher any calls especially the close ones.

Look at the bright side, at least its not 10-0.

Munoz. :puke

Note to the Sox:

1.) Don't bring up a knuckleballer at the Cell.

2.) Don't bring up a knuckleballer with horrible walk rates in the minors.

3.) Don't bring up a knuckleballer when you don't have a catcher that can catch a knuckleball.

You left out:

4.) It's still not OK to call up Tim Redding.

meanwhile our offense sucks

Are you being serious?

I still have a feeling we will pull this one out.

Well, it's only a bad inning because we are pitching a guy who normally wouldn't even be on the team. I'm sure the game would be different if Contreras was pitching.

Hawk said "stretch" on a fly ball that was 40 feet from the fence.

He is just pitiful at judging flyballs

Sometimes he doesn't see well at night.

I'm just more irritated that our minor leaguers continue to suck whenever they get called up to the majors.

He's worthless. I'm actually thinking of donating to HeaveTheHawk.com.

our offense sucks TONIGHT, the slow knuckler and the early deficity will make everyone sweing for the fences.

And Uribe goes down ahead of BA... again.

Uribe's swing. :puke

Just when you think Juan might be starting one of his hot streaks...he swings at crap

I'm forced to listen to him now that Rooney is gone. Sometimes I'd rather watch the game in silence.

Popped up

Inning over. 9 up, 9 down.

Feels like one of those nights
