May 20, 200619 yr I was wondering, was this known ahead of time? I was quite surprised to see DJ doing announcing on Fox today. It was a pleasant surprise, though. he was wearing a suit and everything, LOL. I can imagine Hawk at home shaking his head. And how does everyone think he did as far as his commentary today? One thing I thought was funny was how DJ defended Paulie, basically saying "he's not that same type of hitter who hits into DPs anymore." Then what does Paulie do teh second after DJ says that? Comments?
May 20, 200619 yr I thought DJ was really good, actually. Brenneman was Mr Cubs and DJ was Mr White Sox and they both did a good job and rarely spoke over each other. DJ was given an opportunity to share some of his baseball knowledge and I think he did really well.

May 20, 200619 yr DJ is always better when he's doing a Fox broadcast, IMO. However, if I were a Cub fan I wouldn't be happy having a Sox announcer doing the broadcast. Oh well...
