This isn't that surprising. We have 3 major holes in the lineup (LF, CF, SS)...The offense will struggle when the 3-5 slots aren't mashing.

The problem is you can't expect Thome, Konerko and Dye to keep up their current pace.

I wouldn't call Podsednik a hole in the lineup.

That's stretching things a bit.

He's not eligible for the win. So either it gets out of hand or the Sox get the lead to pull him.

Exactly...Which is why we need Vernon Wells (snicker)...

Or at least Ryan Church.

Pitch number 217 by Freddy.

how is there a hole in lf? scottys been ok. but yea, besides 3-5 hitters the rest of the lineup hasnt helped in terms of scoring runs.

4-0, f*** it, it's orange time

Anderson would have had it.

Yea, it's true.

Mack you are awful in CF.

Anyone want to know why Brian should be playing in CF? That's why.

Make Mackowiak the every day CFAs Ozzie always leaves Freddy in too long if the Sox don't have the lead.

Sizemore's a f***ing stud, our center field position is a f***ing joke right now, and Ozzie leaves his starters in way too long.

Yah, Pods .321 average and 948 OPS in May is a real big hole. :rolly

Ozzie has been brutal as far as keeping guys in too long.

Nice bunny hop rob.

Brian woulda caught that.

In the last pic he's tossing a hat. Word is the hat was thrown so hard it killed a man in Gary.

oh well, at this point it doesnt appear to matter if its 4-0 or 10-0.

>what happened?

^^^^^^^

Hopefully every person who ran and ran their mouth about Anderson today just saw Mackowiak try to make that play in center.

It's a ball Brian would have gotten to with ease. Rob had to hop and missed.

Politte is in. Ozzie has waved the white flag.

I love Scotty as much as the next guy, but his offensive production is subpar for a corner OFer.

Amen. That is why Brian Anderson needs to be out in centerfield.

I ran my mouth, and the reason is that I think there needs to be a total change. We need to acquire a new CF. This team isn't good enough to have two total holes in the lineup, and it's easier to find another outfielder than it is a new SS.
