No kidding. Nobody is perfect, even Crede, who is usually amazingly clutch. Save you displeasure for someone who REPEATEDLY makes mistakes (i.e., Uribe).

I'm almost glad he threw it. I would have hated to see Guillen have an AB with the bases loaded down run. And I'm only half joking. Obviously I would take my chances with Guillen, but I wouldn't have put it past him to get a big hit.

 

Thames scares me too right now. He's swinging the bat great. I thought he had a 2 RBI single off of the bat.

With all the errors he's got this year, he's going to be hard-pressed to say he deserves that Gold Glove over Chavez this year.

Well Joe with the leadoff single....not bad. And Verlander surpasses 100 pitches, and is done for the night. 103 pitches for him in 6+, 119 for Jose in 7 full. Jose gives up 3, Verlander 3 (possibly 4 ). Not a bad night for the pitchers, up to the pens now as Walker comes in for the Tigers.

We have to pinch hit for Mack here...He is AWFUL against LH pitching.

That 1 play should drop Crede from 4th to like 9th in the AL in fielding percentage amongst 3rd baseman. That's basically the last error he can make this year if he wants a gold glove.

He also walked Granderson who ultimately scored. Bad play by Crede, Contreras started it by walking the guy.

 

He also did his job and induced a simple ground out.

Granderson never scores if Crede doesn't pull a Little Leaguer.

For me it's not so much that I don't think we'll win this game, but it's so frustrating watching Jose pitch his ass off only to continually be f***ed by the rest of the team. He should have won his last 4 ND's.

You know I agree with you that the walks killed Contreras tonight. It goes to show you how much he's improved since when we first got him though.
