Charlotte wins 7-0. Owens 2-4. Tracey 9 IP, 0 R, 8 K, 1 BB, 6 hits. Agustin freaking Montero is up over this guy why? Box Score

Birmingham lost 14-3. Liotta got rocked and the bullpen was no better. Box Score

Winston-Salem scored 2 in the top of the 9th to break a tie and then gave up 3 in the bottom half. Cook with a grand slam. De Los Santos 2-4. Haggery 2-4 with a double and HR. Adam Russell with 6 shutout innings. His ERA stands at 2.38 on the year. Box Score

Kanny had two All-Star reps for the SAL All-Star game tonight. One, Daron Roberts, is hurt. The other, Oneli Perez, pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up 2 runs (1 er) with 1 K and 2 hits. What else would you expect from a 20-50 team?

Arnie Munoz also was crushed again he a nice 11.20 ERA in Bham and has yet to post a scoreless inning. It appears that Arnie is done

WAAAAAY done and it's a shame. Hell, Honel and Wing have better futures than he does which isn't saying much at all.

Nice to see Tracey pitch well. The s*** Ozzie pulled on him could mess with a guy's head for a long time.

He seems to do well with Tampa System he dominated Montgomery last year in every outing and this Durham team has a lot of faces from Montgomery on it. He threw a CGSO against Montgomery last year his only one.

Ehh, Liotta, you used to be cool. What happened?

If we're trading a SP prospect out of him, Broadway and Lumsden, I'm hoping it's Ray personally.

Interesting observation.

Considering the D-Rays new management like young pitching, maybe Tracey could be used as some trade bait for something.

Nice, I'm really happy to see Tracey have a strong start after coming back. He's a confident kid and I know he's got a strong character and a positive attitude so I have really been hoping that Ozzie didn't just ruin his career.

Also after the game Sox's released Darren Blakely because of efforts in tracking down balls in the outfield yesterday in front of the White Sox's Brass

Honestly if he lets something like that mess up his career than he doesnt have what it takes to make it in the bigs anyways. That being said im also glad he has rebounded nicely and hope to see him pitching for the big league club soon.

Late addition: Great Falls opener. They lost 12-2. Carter 2-3. Day with a less than thrilling start. Box Score

Liotta... prospect status... falling. The only thing keeping him above water has to be his GB/FB ratio (which I can't find, BA doesn't trace it anymore) -- 3 HR in 86 IP is awesome, too bad the K/BB ratio is brutal.

Lumsden is the one pitcher I'm liking right now (more than anyone), mainly 'cause lefties with that good of stuff (it's not Gio-good, but it's good) don't fall from the sky.

Minor League Splits

That site includes ground balls and fly balls. His GB/FB ratio as of 6/18 is 139-45.
