Tonight's game...

Featured Replies

Hey, I've got my pops coming in for the game tonight, and was curious if anyone had any info about the weather (if this rain will clear up) or when they would announce a rainout. I would think they would be hardpressed to call the game because the cards only come here this once, but the sooner I have any info, the better.

Forecast says scattered storms. Looking to the northwest what's coming this way doesn't look that significant. I don't think a decision will be made pre-game to cancel unless the storms develop much more than they currently are. Might be a bit wet, but if things stay the same they will play.

I would be extremely surprised if this game were to get rained out. You all that are going tonight should be set to go, the forecast is for more scattered type rain than a consistent downpour (as Steff ponted out already).

It will most likely be played. The weather schwami has spoken. (yes that is spelled horribly wrong, and I hate Chris Berman).

BTW...who else will be there tonight besides me?

Weather permitting, I'm there tonight as well.

I'm in Iowa... and I think the same system that they expect to hit chicago passed over here this morning...

it was about 2-3 hours of rain and thunder storms... but I don't think we will know anything untill it gets closer to game time.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch now....but it's set to expire at 6 PM, so that is a good sign I think.

looks like its gonna be a tarp pull night for this kid.

Fuuuuuuuuuun.

nah, but i'm working tonight.

(i work for an independent league team)

I'm pretty close to the cell (the Loop) and it's been dry for the last couple hours. I doubt they'll call this game, but if they do, it would be after 7:00, not before.

Wow, nevermind.

It could be called at ANY time, but it won't be before 7.

It just started pouring over the Cell. Not sure how long this will last.

Yep, pouring buckets on the South Side...

Sunny and dry to the west of Chicago here, so that's good news.
