Compared to what, the KC Royals lineup. Look at our division. If he has problems with this pathetic lineup what happens when he goes back to the american league and faces hitters instead of these frauds who pretend to hit. How many teams in the AL Central does Nefi Perez/Womack/insert crappy player like him get a spot on.

You wonder how a man who pitched in the allstar game, who pitched on the biggest stage in baseball in the playoffs and in the world series, suddenly decides that he lost confidence in his stuff and then nibbles. The sad thing is, the stuff is there. What is missing is between his ears.

 

If he can ever get confidence in his stuff and throw strikes he will be fine.

I agree he will be fine, he just doesnt have it right now. His changeup isnt as good as it was last year, he cant command his slider, and his sinker has been up. But I'm still VERY confident he will put it together in the 2nd half........................I hope.

It's still a horrendous offense, he should not have struggled the way he did in the 1st against a team like this. Barrett hasn't played in 10 games and Lee just got back from a pretty serious hand injury, Pierre still sucks. The Cubs' offense is still pathetic.
