If Crede puts his foot into Hernandez's shoe he's safe easy.

You're not going to get your hand past a shinguard.

Crede needs to just slide through the plate. Easy run. Instead tried to get too cute.

Yep. Exactly.

he was out pretty good...i don't think any partiular slide instead of maybe a plow would have changed that play.

i feel bad for Crede :( not making the allstar team even with Ozzie there.

I hated the call by Cora, but Crede still needs to have a better slide. Against a s***ty pitcher like Ortiz, there's no point in giving up outs at the plate w/less than 2 outs.

The throw was high, so if Joe plants his foot directly into Hernandez's, he's safe with room to spare IMO.

Ramon didn't have his weight firmly planted because he had to reach up for the throw.

Either way, I think it was a fair gamble by Joey - most LFs would have tried to get the throw to home themselves, but Conine made a smart throw to Mora.

Gotta give credit where it's due.

for some reason I don't want boston coming in on a 4 game losing streak

Dare I say....Javy settling in here...

i know what you mean...same reason i wasn't 100% comfortable when the Pirates had there huge losing streak before we played them. Eventually they'll turn it around, and losing 7 in a row? (Boston) isn't very likely.

They have a 7 game road losing streak against AL teams right now.

Getting 5 after they got 3 may have taken the wind out of the sails of a team going nowhere.

He might have already had his "Big inning"...

I'm still smiling about BA's catch that kept it from being even bigger :headbang

I see Uribe took a walk. Wow. Color me impressed.

Jesus, Thome is MASHING right now...

Um, who the f*** is Jim Thome?

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Jim Thome is a f***ing MONSTER.

THANK YOU, Ken Williams, for getting that man for the Sox!!!!!

time for patented Thome streak? to last us through Boston!!!!!

I want A-Row back, this Thome guy blows!!!!!!! :(

thome. damn. he's gonna have 30 by the break.

Mark Redman trying to validate his All Star selection by 1-hitting the Blue Jays through 6.

The Royals are up 6-0 and could win like 12 of 18. Prettty crazy.

WTF kinda hit was that.

He's also on pace for about 144 RBIs. :)

The more time passes, the less I can say in defense of Javier Vazquez.
