What is Jenks doing out there?

does this third inning of work mean Bobby may not pitch Tuesday?

Seattle ties up the tiggies.

Mariners just tied Detroit 2-2, and are wearing some UGLY throwbacks.

jesus christ, there are about 3 pitchers in the all-star game who arent pitching today

Our pitchers didn't get the memo that Lowell is a great fastball hitter.

Uh oh, Willie in.

Bobby used to be a starter. He can handle another inning.

Iguchi requested to be moved down.

Um, no he didn't. And even if he did, wouldn't that show you he's not comfortable swinging trying to protect all the time?

He has really lit us up all series

he was also very mediocre as a starter.

Ya, a lot of relievers used to be starters. Bobby still hasn't been a starter for 2(maybe 3) years now so he's not conditioned to do so anymore.

EDIT: Also want to say that I'm not against the move at all because I'd still much rather have Bobby out there than Vaz.

Someone just posted stats a day or two ago showing how much Bobby's performance drops off in pitches 15-30.

Jenks is going to k these next 2 bums

That's a new place for a strike. EDIT: I see where it crossed now.

finally we got a call

what a terrible call

I read that he told management he wanted to bat lower in the order because in Japan he was a power and RBI guy.

And yeah, Gooch is a bit uncomfortable protecting. He'd rather swing the bat. But it's not like he's not used to it.

THANK YOU JOE

Most important thing was to keep the ball in front.

nice pick by joe to save a run there
