The only thing that can salvage this weekend is if Seattle can end there losing streak

Sorry, I thought Thornton had allowed a run yesterday.

:cheers

I said it in a thread somewhere a day ago.

Both Paplebon and Jenks allowed runs in the same game. You could have gotten pretty good odds on that.

I just rewound the tivo. Pods was playing pretty deep. Mack needs to start more in LF.

Don't forget the Cubs winning 3 in a row, thus leading to the inevitable "they're still in it" columns.

If we lose this one, it's going to really suck. This loss could be terrible to go into the break having been swept by a playoff team at home when you had a chance to come back in the last game to salvage something.

Same thing happened last year. That's the only saving grace I can see. It's just amazing how every button Francona's pushed this series has worked out.

At the start of this series, I wanted to give the edge to our lineup, but their hitters have a much better approach to hitting. Boston looks to be superior to us in all aspects.

If Ozzie thought he was too deep, they would of moved him up. Not Pod's fault there....

Everything and I mean every thing going right for the Red Sox. They are a good team and generally good teams earn their breaks. The strike zone has been a little weird today but so be it.

If the White Sox want to be great they need to beat great teams. Witness the 10th inning, you have got to make that stolen base happen and then you need a big hit. Didn't happen and now they are losing.

A wake up call for the 2nd half, not much else to say.

Nice curve there.

It's hard to tell, as they're playing very well right now. However, I would definitely suggest that their hitters are tougher outs than ours.

Agreed. They looked much better in any way I can think of.

12 games out of the WC does not quantify as still being "in it" IMO

So now Pods is a little leaguer that has to be told where to stand in the OF? Do they also have to yell at him from the dugout to throw to 2B instead of home with his b**** arm?

Right. You are exactly right. Their hitters have had a great approach the whole series.

Apparently the top part of the strike zone is at the belt.

Nice K by Javy.

3-4-5 up again.

Did Ozzie actually have Jenks come out for a third inning in relief?

Don't worry, every publication will make it sound like they're in a better position than we are. :P

You see guys moved by the dugout almost on every batter.

well you had to figure we needed to score a run here with the heart of the order due up, unfortunately we need 2

Maybe he'll leave his closer in for his 3rd inning of work.
