He's better than most 5th starters in the league...after last year, we just have unrealistic standards...really all you expect out of your #5 is .500

Thorton went two yesterday so he's probably a last resort effort. Garland probably can pitch again today.

3 against KC. He's also been outstanding against Cleveland.

I think if he can hit Schilling, he can hit Timlin. It just seems almost everytime the Sox pinch hit and weaken their defense, the ball starts heading towards that weakness.

I realize he was brought in to be our 5th starter, but at 14 mil a year........I expect ALOT more.
