Verlander, the league's first 14-game winner, has already thrown five more innings (135 1/3) than he did in 2005. He belives the current problem is nothing he can't pitch through. Still, the Tigers will skip him one turn, something they could do a couple of more times before the regular season is over. Wilfredo Ledezma will start in his place on Sunday.
