Beat the Twins!

Featured Replies

It doesn't matter at this point in the season whether we catch the Tigers. The team that is going to make or break our playoff chances is the Minnesota Twins.

BEAT MINNESOTA!!!

I couldn't agree more. Tomorrow's game is huge for us. You don't want to lose the first game, and then have Santana lurking in game 2.

It would be nice to get a hot streak going since I'm going to Baltimore to see them for 2 games next weekend. It starts now :)

gotta hope for 2 out of 3 here....hopefully, the bats will come alive tomorrow.

This series is HUGE. These games are indeed now even more important for the Sox than last week's series against the Tigers.

Let's hope Vazquez can give a quality performance for a change tomorrow.

And I hope Ozzie puts some lefties in the lineup against Santana. Santana mows right through our all RH lineup.

does anybody have a Vazquez desktop backround? Its been my slumpbust for the past few days. I put a backround up with the starter pitching that day and garcia pitched good and garland was amazing.

I just hope the team does the incredibly dull cliche and play it one game at a time from here on out.

Big series or no big series we just have to worry about the Sox playing like they can.

Pitching and defense baby.

Day in and out from here on in the starters have to step it up

like Jon did today.

I like the match ups, at least with count on the mound we have a chance against Satan. A slim chance, but a chance. If Buehrle could just....nevermind.

Tuna the twins.

We're going to give Santana his second loss of the season against Chicago.

This is the kind of mentality that has the Sox 6.5 games behind Detroit.

You do not HOPE for 2 out of 3. You SETTLE for 2 out of 3. You must EXPECT to sweep EVERY series from here on out.

It's impossible to sweep the season, but a 6.5 game lead isn't going away overnight. The question is not in talent, the question right now is in the heart and desire this team has.

Fish the Wild Card, man. Beat the living hell out of the Twins in the next 3 games, and then move on to the next opponent.

You look at 3 games and you probably will lose all 3.

It's plod away one at a time like the Tigers have been doing.

Yep.

One game at a time, no looking too far ahead.

The most important game of the season is the next one.

Beat Radke tonight, worry about Santana tomorrow.

GO GET 'EM, WHITE SOX!!!!

At least we missed out on Liriano...

The last couple of days I have been paying more attention to the Yankees and Twins scores than the Tigers scores.

The Sox need to take advantage of this series. Minnesota is not that good on the road (19-30) and their pitchers have struggled on the road (all of Santana's losses have been on the road):

Radke 1-5, 6.52 ERA, 1.99 WHIP, .396 BAA

Santana 4-5, 3.51 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, .224 BAA

Silva 1-5, 9.45 ERA, 2.10 WHIP, .394 BAA

This is a great opportunity to gain back some games.

Minnesota is going to determine WHO wins this division. It will all now depend on if the Twinks can SWEEP the Tiggers for us ..........

The SOX cannot lose 1 game. They MUST sweep the Twinks

Let's hope Vazquez can give a quality performance for a change tomorrow.

And let's hope Ozzie gets his head out of his ass unlike the last game Vazquez pitched.

Last night, Liriano was yanked after 5 innings in a 3-1 Twins victory. Had Vazquez been yanked after 5 innings his last outing, we could have easily beaten the Tigers 2-0 or 2-1.

Ozzie has not adapted his managerial style to the team he is managing at the moment. He's still managing the team he wants to have, in which a well-paid starter like Vazquez can actually get to 100 pitches without blowing up, and can get through a lineup 3 times. We need these wins, Ozzie. Manage accordingly.
