I am a little surpised the Tigers have not been bitten by their lack of a dominant closer more often.

They make a pretty good case that you don't need a dominant closer, you just need A closer who is willing to do the job.

Nicely done BA. And yeah, he got thrown out on the basepaths, but they may have only cut the ball off because he was running.

Tell Bobby to sit down.

I would not mind at all if Riske got some work this inning.

YES!!! Big Run BA!!!!!!

I know you and I have been very critical of him this season, but it's nice to see him actually doing things that help our offense win.

WHAT DID I TELL YA ABOUT BA ON PAGE 45!!!!!!!!!!

I look at the boxscore today and this is why BA is so important to this team...He gets down in the 2nd and works a walk only to score...gets the bunt down in the 7th which leads to a run, and as usual is SOLID in CF Add an RBI 1B in the 8th too...Yes his average may be down, but man he contributes in SO MANY WAYS!!!

Jones gives up more deep fly balls that are caught on the warning track than any pitcher I've seen in a long time.

Also, His home park is one of, if not the best pitchers park in baseball. Many of the fly ball might be 5 rows deep at the cell.

wait a sec, where are all of our kittie fans?

No walks!

Yea BABY MY HOMETOWN LEMONT GOING TO THE 2006 LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the Mods keep them out of game threads during the Tigers series, am I right?

Maybe it's me, but the Tigers are a better team with Thames in the lineup than they are Young.

I agree. Young never impressed me.

He entered the game in the 8th in a save situation and you cant pitch yourself in or out of it so if he closes it, its a save

UGH!

WTF???????

UGHHHHH> BAd jump.

i don't think you can pitch yourself into a save. if bobby were to come in though i belive it would be a save situation
