GAME THREAD: Devil Rays @ Sox, 7:05pm

Featured Replies

Joey held a runner. Stop the presses.

Ross does what our hitters should do with 2 strikes. He cuts down on his swing a bit, and goes oppo. Nice line drive swing Ross.

It's kinda funny what happened to our main 3 relievers from the first 3/4 of last season

Good job Gload!

It's amazing how volatile relievers are. It doesn't make any sense.

Me too. I might have been his biggest supporter when there were rumors we were interested in him. Anyone else remember that we were concerned he'd choose Tampa over the Sox?

I remember when he was on Minny and I hated him, but wanted him on our team.

I'm a huge proponent of trading relievers at their peak value (unless they're a closer).

Shockingly Cora didnt have Uribe go on contact there.

He is showing some amazing restraint.

Gload owns

i get so sick of seeing that from Anderson

Yeah.

Bad back, partial tear of the rotator cuff, and whatever the deal is with Cotts.

AKA...selling your soul to the devil. :P

Wow...impressive play by Upton.

It feels like it's been a long time since Hermanson and Takatsu were our closers.

f***! Nice play by Upton. Still good to see Pods swinging the bat much better.

Like last year...Takatsu to Hermanson to Jenks. In the modern era what other team won a championship while transitioning to three closers.

Or Cliff Politte was around.

I love when he goes the other way. He is a much better hitter.

he still is, he just prefers whiskey now.

Couldn't agree more.

The sad thing is the back end of our pen could of used a night off. When your offense scores as many runs as we have tonight, our starters should of been able to come out, our pitchers should of been rested, and we should of been getting ready for tomorrow.

This is true. Cotts and Riske let us down tonight. I won't even mention Freddy. It's pretty much a lock that he's going to give up atleast 5 ER.

Nice strike call blue. :bang You realize that you are not getting paid by the hour right.

Good job of making sure he threw a strike.

35K on a Tuesday night vs Tampa is impressive since school has started.

winning a game to go into the wild card lead going into september = great

having to use your close when you score 12 runs = dumb

It's over...thankfully. Nice to have the WC lead again.

yea
