September 15, 200619 yr Alright, you guys know how I love to get conversation going, especially with stuff people won't attack each other over (much). What makes your perfect pizza? Is it homemade? Pizzeria? Gas station? Frozen? What's on it? Do you need it served by a fat Italian guy? Let's hear them. Oh, and NSS72, you already know what I'm going to say sucks.....
September 15, 200619 yr I'm a plain guy, pepperoni works for me. I don't really like frozen pizzas from the store, but anything else I'm a fan of. Edited September 15, 200619 yr by WilliamTell

September 15, 200619 yr I love to make my own pizza. My favorite sauce is Palermo's sauce, but it can be too sweet for some. I tend to like crust so I like it to be at least a pan pizza, but I can deal quite well with thin crust (favorite is Beggar's).
September 15, 200619 yr any kind, don't think about it that much. frozen is bella though. cheese as topping.
September 15, 200619 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) You ever get Casey's up there? casey's is greasy but good. definitely not the perfect pizza, though...
September 15, 200619 yr At Home: Giordano's thin crust At school: Geovanti's thin crust / Papa Del's Deep Dish Frozen: Tombstone
September 15, 200619 yr Thick: Lou's Thin: Barnaby's (you'd never think it looking at the place) Honorable Mention: Great Plains Sauce and Dough, Ames, Iowa Topping: Pepperoni is all I want. And I still can't believe Heads thinks that gas station pizza from Casey's is the best.

September 15, 200619 yr QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 12:49 PM) I will do so. Where on Ashland? Just north of Diversey, basically across from Jewel. Little corner place. Order a deep pepperoni, and you will be in heaven. It litterally melts in your mouth.

September 15, 200619 yr When I'm home: I loooooove Homerun Inn. I also (don't remember the name) love the deep dish from the pizza joint right by Children's hospital. I haven't had it in ages, but mmmm, my mouth waters just thinking about it. When I'm in Upstate: I haven't found any acceptable deep dish pizza. But I moved over the summer and I live about a mile away from the little Italy here, and pretty much pizza from any one of the places there is amazing, best thin crust pizza.
September 15, 200619 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) Do you need it served by a fat Italian guy? If that's a criteria, come see me the next time you're in Minneapolis.
September 15, 200619 yr Deep Dish: Pequod's Pizza (Sox always on when they are playing ) Webster and Clybourne. Thin Crust: Harry's sports bar and grille (countryside, Il) Also another Sox bar. Im a pizza freak. I eat it almost daily. I have tried almost every pizza place in the area.

Thin Crust: Harry's sports bar and grille (countryside, Il) Also another Sox bar. Im a pizza freak. I eat it almost daily. I have tried almost every pizza place in the area. I'm not all that impressed with Pequod's. Pizza is good but not great, its not Chicago style deep dish, and the service there is always HORRIBLY slow. Too bad too, its the closest pizza place to where I live, I think. If you haven't yet, try Barnaby's for thin crust. Nothing beats it. They have locations in Northbrook, Des Plaines, and one or two other spots I cannot recall. Used to be one on Touhy in the city, but that one closed. The one in Northbrook is usually best.
September 15, 200619 yr In Austin: Deep: Mangia. As close to real Chicago style as you can get in Texas. Thin: Rounders. And a side of garlic knots, please. At 2 am: Hoek's on Sixth St. In Chicago: Chicago Style: Uno's or Due's Deep: Pequod's with tomatoes and pepperoni. Spinach: Edwardo's Thin: Pat's Pizza. Different: Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder
September 15, 200619 yr I have a serious rush of deja vu going on. While I did enjoy my deep dish while in Chicago, De Mario's ( in Leeds) paper thin pepperoni with added anchovies is a taste of heaven.
September 15, 200619 yr Heads, why you got a picture of Liverpool and Leeds Welsh leg end Ian Rush in your Avi?
