Best program to have never won a Championship?

Featured Replies

I'm not going to make this a poll, but I'll throw out a few names:

Illinois

Purdue

DePaul

Temple

Utah

Western Kentucky

Missouri

This is based on program status, not necessarily recent results. Feel free to add or discuss.

Doesn't this title formally belong to the University of Illinois?

The answer is the University of Illinois. A small, but powerful argument could be made for Ray Meyer's DePaul teams.

But, the answer is the University of Illinois. No question.

I would say that, but I was just seeing if anyone had a differing opinion. If we all agree on Illinois, who's next?

Purdues up there.

I'll just mention Minnesota because I go there.. I doubt they are up there though.

Michigan when they had Webber, least I dont think they won.

Specific team or best program that hasn't won?

I meant best program...if you want to change the topic title, that would be fine.

St. John's would be near the top of the list

Technically Illinois does have a national title, it's just that that trophy is extremly dusty. Same goes for Utah I believe.

Iowa....Hawkeyes...DAR.

Don't make me go all Lafester Rhodes on your ass.

Missouri fits another category...never made a Final Four. I think they have a shot at winning best school to never make a Final Four.
