Podsednik leads off the bottom of the 5th, works a decently long at bat, then grounds out to teh shortstop.

The Ranger is in the booth.

Erstad flies out to left.

Thome takes a walk, and stays in the game.

Thome to 2nd on a WP. When is the last time we actually hit a home run in an A game?

At least Jenks has been consistent this spring.

I think you can say that about our entire pitching staff.

I would like to see our non 3-4-5 hitters get a better approach and make contact more. Put the f***ing ball in play, maybe something good can happen.

No. Home Run Good.

Kevin Corea, or something like that, in to pitch.

First batter, think it was Alfonzo, flies out to RF.

I was hoping otherwise. But I am starting to wonder if there is something to that.

Anyone know how Bobby threw in spring last year?

Sh*tty. 6.55 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, 5 k's.

Santos doubles over Podsednik's head. Oh, and Frandsen made an out, somehow.

He was in the low 90s, not impressive at all. He did pick it up a bit once the season began, but they blamed most of it on his being out of shape. No one really says anything about it, but Jenks post ASB ERA was a DFA's Shingoesque number.

With the earlier tightness, I believe its all a sign of an injury.

You can have tightness and not have an injury.

Farmer is pointing to his mechanics. If he isnt driving towards the plate and flying open, he will leave the ball high, lose some velocity and get rocked. Its what Marte did a bunch of times.

And he was 7.71 ERA in 2005 ST, I just saw. Looks like he just never pitches well in ST. Must be slow to get loose.

To be totally fair...that was in 2.1 innings.
