Ugh...here we go.

Some very good and very bad baserunning in top of 8th. I love how PK took 3rd on that single up the middle. However, we make way too many outs on the bases in that same situation that ended the 8th.

Suprised Thornton isn't pitching

You're not having a good prediction night.

True...but at least I can point out he was making quite the effort to go to LF. :P

Beautiful DP. Uribe looking sexy this early season. :)

very nice DP to pitch over the error

Yes sir! Piazza has never been afraid to hit into a double play.

BEAUTIFUL! RACK EM UP!

alright

Dye looks terrible in this early season. That's like 5+ hangers he has missed this season. At LEAST he got a positive out.

Crede you idiot.

wtf?

oops, not an error, but still

haha I told my roommate it'd be nice to see a GIDP 6-4-3, and it happened.

Thome answers his "clutch critics"

It's the 9th inning Thome that I have a problem with. He has a lot of big hits in the 7th/8th inning last year

Just got back from the bar, great baseball by us tonight, situational hitting, agressive baserunning, nice.

Yeah, I'm not sure who the last out of the 8th is on. I mean, once Crede saw Thome make a serious break for home then going to second is the right move in order to keep the rally going. Did Thome get the sign from Shines or what?

Some genius. ;)

They were being really agressive and fouled up. Not a huge deal. Sometimes that doesnt work.

Easy enough.

Podsednik NEEDS to swing more often. Just put the ball in play. He doesn't have a poor swing or anything.

Obviously, the biggest complaint we've had about him is his 49 called third strikes last year. I couldn't agree with you more though....when he's aggressive at the plate, he's a much better hitter. He gets in trouble sometimes when he tries to be crafty at the plate. He doesn't have the Ichiro/Pierre like slap ability.

i was just wondering why you even watch the Sox. all you seem to do is b**** the whole game.

On the bright side, at least Razor held up Thome.

This bullpen has been such a nice surprise to open the season.

I dont know about you, but i expected them to be hard to hit. I just didnt expect some of this pin point control. MMAC has looked unhittable. AAArdsma is the real surprse.

lets get more runs and just open the game upa nd we can sit and relax

Just got in from running (ran for 1:45 to avoid watching) and have seen nothing but this thread. I thought Contreras was getting shelled.

I said earlier Pods is looking good and JD needs a day off but Guillen won't sit him until he is out of his funk.

I also believe the hittin is what is going to hurt us this season more than the pitching.

McDougal went two innings? Good move.

Nice to see that AJ
