April 12, 200718 yr I was thinking this was somehow related to the White Sox since it was in PHT, but I guess not.
April 12, 200718 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 10:38 AM) Randy Johnson, Frank Thomas in his prime, Albert Belle. The goal of any and all maxxim lists is to get you to say Maxxim list. The worst thing they could do is nail the list correctly and have everyone shrug their shoulders and say, so what?

April 12, 200718 yr Didnt read through all the posts so if I mentioned some guys named then forgive me. Andy Petitte, he always gives that blank stare on the mound and looks evil. Throwin this one out there, how bout Dice K, his mystery pitch has batters dazed and confused as to when it might come or if its even real. Mark Mcgwire back in the day was. Big Hurt was. Arod Nolan Ryan Just a few, many more.

April 12, 200718 yr QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 06:30 PM) I know, I saw that clip on sportscenter over and over, but it gets batters thinking, which makes him intimidating. Another player, how bout pronk. I don't actually watch SC especially when they're talking about him so I didn't even know they explained it. There's tons of footage out there of him throwing the 'gyroball' and it's really nothing spectacular, just a hard slider. Any player who does even an ounce of research on the day's pitcher would know this.
