April 20, 200719 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 07:58 AM) This is simply not true. Well, actually, it is. But that takes very little away from Jim being teh awesome. And yeah, once PK breaks out, someone will pay.
April 20, 200719 yr QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:29 AM) JIM THOME IS A HUNTER. THIS WEEKEND THE TIGERS ARE THE HUNTED!
April 20, 200719 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) I love him more. I don't see you in Game Threads giving up to the second Jim Thome stat updates. .342/.561/.974/1.535 btw Did you know he likes hot dogs? Man, hes f***ing awesome.
April 20, 200719 yr lets hope thome keeps this up and doesnt slip drastically or get worn down as the season progresses. if we lost him we would be so screwed
April 20, 200719 yr Hey Kalapse. I think he is slugging .789. At least thats what mlb.com and ESPN said. 1.351 just behind arod
April 20, 200719 yr I noticed the 5 walks yesterday on gameday. I mentioned it to my friends...and they didn't seem to care. Damn Red Sox fans.
April 20, 200719 yr QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:43 AM) Well, actually, it is. But that takes very little away from Jim being teh awesome. And yeah, once PK breaks out, someone will pay. No it is not. There is not 1 pitcher that thinks Konerko cannot hurt them.
April 20, 200719 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 09:37 AM) No it is not. There is not 1 pitcher that thinks Konerko cannot hurt them. Yes, of course they don't want to get hurt by PK or anyone else. But they are very aware of who is hot (Jim) and who is not (Paulie), and pitch accordingly. Its just part of the game. Therefore, without question, Jim is being avoided by some pitchers.
April 20, 200719 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 11:34 PM) Statmandu. Has this ever happened to a Sox player before? Twice I believe, Frank Thomas and someone else (can't remember who). Edited April 20, 200719 yr by Felix
April 20, 200719 yr Crede, Buehrle, and Dye said that Thome is the best hunter on the team....And i believe it.
