I'll go with the upset and pick Oscar. I'm definitely looking forward to this, I'll be going to BWW on Saturday to watch it, even if it's by myself(none of my friends seem to like boxing).

I got Mayweather.

I'm in the same boat as you, I gota find somewhere down here in Marco Island to watch it, but I'll probably be alone. I wish I was in Tally so I could just go to Bdubs.

Or you have no friends

ba-zing

Who I want to see win (especially being another half latin myself on the day) De La Hoya. Who will probably win, Mayweather.

Mayweather. Book it.

Mayweather better not lose to an over the hill De La Hoya

My prediction: Pain.

Mayweather. However, I have no interest in this fight or boxing in general. Boxing has been getting worse and worse over the years.

I got apathy.

Apathy split-decision over indifference.

Indifference gets screwed over by the judges...............but doesn't really get too upset about it.

Hilarious, touch em' all, you got all of that one.

Sad, but true.

It's hard to imagine, but boxing, which was still in the foreground of American sporting attention even just a decade ago, has now completely fell of the map and gone to the sporting wayside--alongside tennis and (sadly) professional hockey.

There was a time when my family and I never missed a PPV prizefight. It seemed like once a month there was an opportunity to all gather around the now-infamous Chicago cable "blackbox" and watch a PPV boxing match for free.

Now, complete indifference.

Got my friend to buy it.

Can't wait.

Mayweather is gonna knock Oscar the f*** out.

Should be Mayweather fairly easily. Oscar still is highly skilled, but Mayweather is a better Sugar Shane, and Oscar struggled with him.

I love boxing, so I will be watching. It certainly isn't what it use to be.

I got Mayweather winning, but I want Oscar to win.

Anybody from the Aurora/Naperville area have an idea if any bar is going to be showing the fight?

Interesting that this poll favors Mayweather by a lot...however, the ESPN.com poll right now has 137,278 votes and the voting is exactly 50/50. That's pretty impressive.

If this were in his prime De La Hoya, i'd be a dead even, up for grabs fight. But it's not, so Mayweather will definitely win IMO.

Completely agree with you. I was talking with a friend of mine the other day about how it seemed like every month or two there was a major title fight. Boxing was last at it's peak when Tyson unified the Heavyweight belt. No doubt Don King killed the sport. There should be 5 weight classes max and ONE title per class. I have no idea who the heavyweight champ is right now. I used to get so pumped up for a big fight. I guess the last time Tyson fought Lennox Lewis was the last big fight. The sport is dying or basically dead. Thanks Don King.

The thing is, generally speaking, as the heavyweight division goes, so goes boxing in general.

Whenever you see a resurgence in interest in boxing, there's usually a dominant heavy leading the way.

The heavyweight division is worse than I can ever remember. There's NO ONE I'd shell out PPV money to watch.

Give me UFC over boxing any day of the week.

hell yes.

Heavyweight boxing to me has always been pretty boring to me. Most of the guys are slow and are stiffs. I think that's the reason why Tyson was so exciting to watch as well. He was a heavyweight who was pretty damn quick.

I wish DLH was still in his prime though.

I'm pulling for De La Hoya. Not sure if he'll win, but I do want him to.

No way Id pay 55 bux for this. I think the fix is in as it is anyway.
