Groce is a great recruiter, as are the assistants.

 

This quite simply came down to Kansas over Illinois, Kansas being Kansas etc. You could be the coach of Kansas right now and I still think he probably picks there over Illinois with all the other factors taken into account. That being said, Self is obviously a great recruiter.

 

What's going to change everything is starting to win with the 3 and 4 star guys, and Illinois will become more of a destination than it currently is.

Haha, I do... After Houston Nutt signed 38 guys one year, no one in the SEC will ever live down the over-signing stuff.

 

Also, we will have to trim that down since we can only sign 30 this year (25 + 5 EE's back-counted to last year's class).

Indiana lands Tim Gardner, OL from Indianapolis. He had enrolled at Ohio State but got in trouble over the summer and was sent home. Spent the fall at a prep school and will enroll in the spring.
