The biggest comeback in White Sox history

World Series Game 1? What about it?

I honestly had no idea until you made this thread and then I looked at the recap. Cool I guess? What a weird f'n season.

Hey and we aren't mathematically eliminated yet either! All we have to do is win out and everyone else lose every game!

Chip and a chair, baby!

I think you mean game 2, but you could argue game 3 - losing 5-0 to Oswalt on the road.

Sox-flubs 2002. Kerry Wood craps away an 8-0 score.

Baseball history says it is the first time two teams scored 6 runs each in the 9th to remain tied. I only saw the briewf ESPNBBTN highlights, but it looked like fun foir Sox fans to watch. I have to wait till Sunday to see the Sox on WGN.

That would be #1 on my list. 2 HR from Pauly after being hit in the head by a Kerry Wood fastball, such sweet revenge. It also produced the coolest bat flip in White Sox history when Konerko deposited his 2nd homerun into the left field stands.

I thought he got hit in the head with a breaking ball. I could be wrong on that though.

World Series game 3 is so far and away the best one, down 5-0 on the road to Roy Oswalt in the World Series, only to win in 14 innings. But the 8-0 one against Kerry Wood after he hit Paulie in the head is a close 2nd.

You're probably right I haven't seen that game in a few years, I'll have to find the VHS I have of the game and take a look.

Ya it's hazy on my end as well but I think it was a breaking ball. Like I said, not 100 percent on that though.

Yeah he did, it was definitely not on purpose. Still sweet revenge though.

We were down 4-0 to Oswalt, went ahead 5-4, then tied at 5 off Hermie in the 8th

In 2000 I think I remember a game being down 10-0 to the Royals and we came back to win in extra innings.

Edit: actually just checked and we were down 9-1 in that game, and ended up winning 14-10, but no extra innings, and since it was against the Royals, it's definitely not the best comeback in our history

I had the Hawk call of PK's second home run, and was stored on my student's share drive for some time.

It was along the lines of: "There's a highhh, deep drive to left field! Meanononlooksback. You can put it on the boar-ed! EEyess!"

Someone needs to find that avatar of the bat flip with "KONERKOWNED" on it, and then they need to use it for their avatar for a while. I'd use it, but I just can't change mine.

In other words it was the homerun call he always makes? :P

We didn't win the game, but this thread reminded me of the Arnie Munoz game 3-4 years back in Montreal.

To be specific, it was the most runs down that the Sox have ever scored to come from behind and won in a game in just the 9th inning.
