Ode to Finals Week!

Twas the night before finals, and all through the college,
The students were praying for last minute knowledge.
Most were quite sleepy, but none touched their beds,
While visions of essays danced in their heads.

Out in the taverns, a few were still drinking,
And hoping that liquor would loosen up their thinking.
In my own apartment, I had been pacing,
And dreading exams I soon would be facing.

My roommate was speechless, his nose in his books,
And my comments to him drew unfriendly looks.
I drained all the coffee, and brewed a new pot,
No longer caring that my nerves were shot.

I stared at my notes, but my thoughts were muddy,
My eyes went a blur, I just couldn't study.
"Some pizza might help," I said with a shiver,
But each place I called refused to deliver.

I'd nearly concluded that life was too cruel,
With futures depending on grades had in school.
When all of a sudden, our door opened wide,
And Patron Saint Put-It-Off ambled inside.

His spirit was careless, his manner was mellow,
When all of a sudden, he started to bellow:
"On Cliff Notes! On Crib Notes! On last year's exams!
On Wingit and Slingit, and last minute crams!"

His message delivered, he vanished from sight,
But we heard him laughing outside in the night.
"Your teachers have pegged you, so just do your best.
Happy Finals to all, and to all, a Good Test!"

I have two classes already finished, but today I have a final test (not a final per se.) But, overall not bad, a final in Macroeconomics and Media Comm. Pretty easy final schedule.

As always, as a courtesy. we are willing to suspend anyone that wants us to for as long as they'd like to make sure they don't distract themselves on here.

I really only have 2 real finals for my 5 classes this year.

The other 3 are just another exam/paper. Really not gonna be a tough one this year.

;)

Ah, the worst two weeks of the year. It's not just finals week, it's the last wee or two of classes when you have a ton of papers/projects due.

heads...suspend me until friday...i should be studying. i'm serious.

Done.

Taking finals is nowhere near as s***ty as grading them.

Bleh.

You shouldn't give them to us then. We'd all be happier people.

I have five total, including three on Tuesday, with 15 minutes between each. Even worse, my last final is Friday afternoon. :(

I am a lowly graduate student. I have no say in the matter. . .

This semester isn't too bad for me. My research paper is done and I took my final for my other class about 2 weeks ago. Just need to complete one last easy project for Monday and I'm done.

Sigh...

Next week:

Monday - English

Tuesday - Theology

Wednesday - Accounting

Thursday - MicroEcon

Friday - Business Stats

Bleh.

Start a revolution! :headbang

Haha, I only have one more semester of these things--I'll survive.

well, this is where going back to school in September really sucks. I don't get to go back home until the 21st; my final final (hehe) is the 20th.

Fun Shtuff.

I only have two exams for my 4 classes. One was a final paper, and the other class, we just don't have a final exam.

I have Econ tomorrow, and Ballroom Dance next Wednesday. The huge gap in-b/t the two kinda sucks.

I just want it to be Christmas!!! :)

Well, I'm going home tomorrow evening for the weekend, and I don't have to come back until sometime Monday since I have no class that day. I probably will do my Non-Western Arts final essays then even though they are due Wednesday.

Tuesday: Macroeconomics final (The guy said if I fail it I still have a B- in his class. It pays off to have a retiring teacher!)

Wednesday: Math 1270 final. Non-Western Arts final essays due.

Thursday: Life Science final, Broadcast Announcing final. Out of here at 2:30 in the afternoon, I'll be home by supper.

I've already submitted my final English Paper, so I really only have 4 finals.

Tuesday - Communications

Wednsday - Algebra

Thursday - Liberal Arts

I turn in my writing portfolio tomorrow as a final.

grading? A scantron and multiple choice. ;)

I need to write a 15 page paper by next Thursday. I have 4 other tests between there as well.

This week

Friday: Bio Lab Final

Next week

Tuesday: Bio Final

Thursday: 7:30AM Care and Prevention of Sports Injuries

Friday: 3:00PM Anatomy

I hate having finals on the last time slot of the semester. Luckily I'll have a lot of time to study. I can't wait for next semester that consists of Theory and Practice of Baseball, Bowling, World Geography, and easy math, American History since the Civil War, and Computer Lit 2. I'm definitely happy I got down all my required classes so I can have a nice easy semester before my major classes begin.

Over-nighters consisting of a writing portfolio and a 20 minute presentation are sa-weeeeet!

How much did you love theories of learning? That stuff is my favorite.

Excellent class. The professor is outstanding, this is the second class I've taken with him. His Research methods class was equally exciting. The first four weeks was basically a review for me, Pavlov, etc. We're finishing with Hebb, Gestalt, and Tolman. When I stopped and realized the range of subjects, in one semester, it was impressive.

I'm looking forward to a couple grad classes he teaches.
