Crosstown Showdown in Another State - March 15

Good thing it's ST, as Cabrera has looked horrible in spots where situational hitting was needed. He looks slower than I remember.

BTW, after listening to KW's interview, Jason B. will start the season in AAA.

Which is a shame -- he's easily a better player than Ozuna is, but the Sox have to justify the (terrible) decision to give guaranteed money to a bench player.

Awesome facial hair on the Booner.

Maybe it's because I haven't seen him pitch in months, but his arm action almost looks quicker.

The way Jason B played last year and this spring makes me wonder why we were forced to surfer through Andy Gonzalez last year.

So Hawk said KW has put together a better team than the year before in each year he's been GM. I love Hawk, but has he paid attention the last year and a half?

I think the expectations are based on the fact that things could not possibly be as bad as last year.

Uribe looks like he put on some weight this off season ... again.

Not to me. He still looks fat as hell, don't get me wrong. Just not fatter.

Is Paul Phillips from minor league camp or something?

I expect them to be better too, but to say last year's team was better than 2006's and 2006's was better than 2005's is inexplicable.

He certainly had quite an arm there.

Realizing that it is early and this is the first game I have watched, some hitters look like 2007 hasn't ended yet. Lots of big cuts for no particular reason.

Nice to see Linebrink get 3 grounders that inning.

He also said, if I heard him correctly, that now that Schuerholz has stepped out of the GM chair in Atlanta KW is the best GM in baseball.

His 2005 season was the luckiest/most fluky I've ever seen in any sport.
