Ozuna, 2B; Cabrera, SS; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; Swisher, LF; Dye, RF; AJ, C; Crede, 3B; Ramirez, CF. Floyd pitching.

Opening day lineup?

Anderson will be starting on Opening Day. And I think they said Thome would bat 5th against lefties, with Swisher 3rd, so...

Ozuna

Cabrera

Swisher

Konerko

Thome

Dye

AJP

Crede

Anderson

Are you sure it will be Anderson and not Ramirez? I hope you're right.

Even though Ramirez has earned a spot on the roster, Ozzie and KW have said numerous times that he's still raw, and that they want him for a utility role.

That wouldn't necessarily prevent him from starting in CF on opening day, though.

I suppose. But I doubt it. I think Brian gets it.

Man, and to think that that would happen 2-3 months ago....I'm so happy for the kid...and I'm so happy for the Sox.

Just think of how much money a producing Brian in CF would save us...$65-68 million?

Alexei with a slam down the line to give the Sox a 4-3 lead.

Down the right field line too! (although the wind was going out that way)

Its nice to see that even though a stiff wind burst might be able to knock him off his feet, he still has the power to hit the ball out to the opposite field. If he puts on some muscle after a year of MLB conditioning, he may end up being quite a hitter.
