April 16, 200817 yr A quick look at the other scores around the league show that our Sox have taken over first place once again! Its a good feeling to have again, even if it is April.
April 16, 200817 yr i watched like 95% of BBTN and didn't see the Sox highlights, did I miss them or did they get jobbed?

April 16, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) Everytime this pops up, we lose. Let this thread die. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63708
April 18, 200817 yr Author Even after an ugly loss in Baltimore, we live to lead another day! Feels good.
April 18, 200817 yr suck, suck, suckity, suck, suck, suck. There. That feels better. Oh wait, this is supposed to be in the negative catch all thread, huh? BUT WE'RE IN FIRST PLACE!!###!#!#!@#$ LOLZ!@$@#%
April 18, 200817 yr My most recent look at the standings was Sox-Royals-Twins-Indians-Tigers. Completely the reverse of what the most common expectation people had for this division right about now.
April 21, 200817 yr Author + 2 1/2 over KC and MN +4 1/2 over CLE +5 1/2 over DET Interesting to note our +32 run differential is #1 in the AL and #2 in all of baseball, behind the AZ Dbacks +39.
April 21, 200817 yr We really need to clean up the floor with the Spankees this week. That'll get us on the map nationally.
April 23, 200817 yr Author As I said from day one, enjoy every day of it, because it might not last... Sox - Twins 2 Royals 2.5 Indians 3.5 Tigers 4.0
May 1, 200817 yr As much as everyone's b****ing about whatever they are b****ing about, they're still in first place, and every team in the Central is having some issues. It could be a dog fight all the way to the end of the summer in this division. It will come down to who can weather the down times the best.
May 1, 200817 yr We won't be in first place in about 3-4 days, I'd bet money on it. Not with the way these guys are playing, but I hope I'm wrong, maybe the day off will help these guys gather themselves for the toronto series.

If the offense continues to be this weak, then yeah, they aren't long for first. But that's the question - when will it pick up? I think it definitely will, I just have no idea when.

May 1, 200817 yr QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 1, 2008 -> 06:37 AM) How much you willing to bet? I was thinking the same thing. 1.5 game lead, 3 days 1st day is an off day so we'd have to lose the 1st 2 games against the BJ's while Twinkies win the next 2. I like the odds but now I'm sure the other guy doesnt since I opened my yap.
May 2, 200817 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 1, 2008 -> 08:37 AM) Don't look now, but since starting 0-8 the Tiges are 13-7... They're gonna have to get and stay pretty hot to dig themselves out of that hole. Sweeping the Yanks is a good start, though. I still think they'll have a hard time maintaining a long winning streak because of their pitching.

The only team even close to them is the Indians, especially if C.C. picks it up. The Sox, Twins, and Royals will be in the 70-80 win range.
