He had every right to be pissed. Strike 1 made him swing at the third pitch.

... and boy am I glad Ozzie got the umps on our side now. Let's blame everybody but ourselves.

Grilli is such a pile of s***, and here we are, 3 hits total.

Pathetic...Dye hit it hard, but probably chased ball 3.

Thats pretty sad right there...

I'd say the 2007 softball team is back. ...although they never really left.

Well our 3-4-5 hitting like its 07.

How do you not take a strike after Grilli just walked the world?

pathetic.

Well, we are benching 2 of our 4 best hitters right now. Swisher should have been playing, if healthy.

Not sure why Dye was swinging 2-0 when Grilli had walked Konerko on 5 pitches and technically walked Thome. Bad decision there.

Why even swing at 2-0 when the only thing Grilli is hitting is Quentin?

Take Swisher and AJ out of the lineup, and the corpseball kids are back. I hope they can play just about every game.

Thome-Konerko-Dye are leaving a lot to be desired right now. Dye should have been more patient. you have a 2-0 count against an absolute SUCK pitcher...worse than contreras and you swing at the 1st strike...that's just being impatient right there.

Huge inning here for Contreras, as little seems to be going right since Willis got hurt. Get us back in the dugout down 1 Jose!

ump is terrible, but weve had our chances, and i bet we still will have some more as the night goes on.

That's their general approach to hitting. We should not be surprised, it is not going to change. He can only wait and hope they get really hot at some point, or 2008 is another famine year.

Quoted for Truth.

You hear Hawk say how great last year's offense was on paper? He must get a different version than I do in regards to Erstad/Pods/Uribe

Honestly, Contreras has pitched very well outside of that 3rd inning. Our offense owes it to him to not make him the losing pitcher.

Remember that 1/3 of that baseball special education class is still in the line up everyday.

Hawk is an idiot. I've had my tv on mute for half this game I'm so tired of listening to those 2. It's like being down at goddamn Floyd's Barber shop in the 50's listening to those boneheads.

I wonder what happened to sheff. Jaque Jones seriously?

How sad is it that the Tigers have only one SB attempt against friggin' Contreras/Hall? I think Hawk might be able to take second on that combo.

Thome and Konerko have. I have no problem with Dye. He's started out pretty well. Paulie's the one I'm growing tired of pretty quick in terms of his plate production.
