You knew as soon as Neshek came in, that our guys had no chance. They were lulled asleep by that windup motion, and just waving away at pitches.

We nailed Neshek last time out IIRC.

This started with the As series. We had a period of good hitting, batting hitting day. Then we had were the starter would shut us down and we would beat up on the mop up guy to make it respectable. Now its just a complete mess where we cant hit at all.

 

After 2 1/2 years of offensive struggles, maybe it's not just Greg Walker? Maybe we just have poor offensive talent.

We face 4 tough righties in Toronto, and thanks to our brilliant decision to only have 3 lefties on the whole roster, it's going to be a low scoring weekend likely.

Unless Owens is called up and Richar miraculously heals and becomes a MLB-caliber leadoff guy overnight I don't see how anything can be done any differently.

Most of the lineup, aside from CQ and maybe Crede, are looking terrible the last few games. Its not just a Hall problem.

 

O-Cab and Thome are showing signs of coming out of their slumps though, hopefully that happens.

I remember seeing the schedule and seeing how ridiculous the schedule was for April and May. If they can't get to Nathan they'll be above .500 and 1 1/2 games in front for 1st with very good SP

I would guess no since if he was available he should have hit for Hall earlier or for Thome when they brought in their LH specialist

If I had to choose between a very good offense and mediocre-to-bad SP and vice versa, I'm going with the good SP and weak offense, that's usually easier for a franchise to fix.
