May 20, 200817 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) Oh darn. I just remembered that's the date of my bachelor party. We'll all be at the game to start off the festivities of our adventurous night. How does that stop you from playing in the softball game earlier in the day?
May 20, 200817 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 20, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) How does that stop you from playing in the softball game earlier in the day? Hmm. Maybe it doesn't. What time is the softball game? Our party was planning to tailgate before the Sox game.
May 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 03:47 PM) Hmm. Maybe it doesn't. What time is the softball game? Our party was planning to tailgate before the Sox game. As were the rest of us, most likely. I'll have to see about trying to escape.

I don't believe we have decided yet, but last year it was at noon. I think that might have been a bit early... I am guessing sometime between one and three this year.
May 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 20, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) How does that stop you from playing in the softball game earlier in the day? More importantly, since when does smoov b luv man dedicate himself to one woman?
May 21, 200817 yr QUOTE (RibbieRubarb @ May 20, 2008 -> 04:12 AM) Why not...you bringin your kinfolk? I reken..
May 22, 200817 yr I would be in for this, but I must warn you that for some reason I cannot play softball very well...baseball yes, softball not so much...but I'd definatly try.
May 22, 200817 yr Author New question to ponder. The patio party is $40 a head, with a $10 discount off of a game ticket. Its expensive. The question is such. Should we just try to get a group rate for tickets, forget the patio party, and do a hellacious talegate instead?
May 22, 200817 yr Yeah, that might be too rich for my blood. Discounted tickets does sound better. And I'd probably be in for tailgating, but my Elton Brand injury is keeping out of commission for sports for a while so no softball for me.

May 22, 200817 yr QUOTE (Steff @ May 21, 2008 -> 01:02 PM) I reken.. Alrighty then...If there is a cement pond near they could go for a dip.

May 22, 200817 yr QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 22, 2008 -> 11:03 AM) Damn, dude, I hope you get better. That sounds painful. Thank you. I'm done with all the hard stuff. The doctor just said to take it easy for the next year or so. Since I'm no paid athlete, I'm gonna take it real easy. No reason to risk re-rupture for me.
May 23, 200817 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 22, 2008 -> 01:40 PM) Wet plushie can't smell very good in the summer sun... It's better than Sweaty Plushie... But you shouldn't worry about that during the game...as I am rather lazy.
May 23, 200817 yr So, is this game a rematch again? I saw a thread on WSI recruiting players for the July 19th rematch with Soxtalk. If so, you've given them bulletin board material with that whole "wimped out" comment and all....
May 23, 200817 yr ok, now I just may have to show up so I can get back to back MVP awards... You all know my triple was the game breaker...

If so, you've given them bulletin board material with that whole "wimped out" comment and all.... Yeah, I just found out a couple of days ago they were talking about it... I guess they needed some time to recruit.

May 23, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 23, 2008 -> 12:44 PM) I was the MVP. And I expect to hit third again. Or leadoff. That was a pitching preformance to remember, that was for sure
May 23, 200817 yr I still tell people about that. "Came in, walked two, gave up a three-run bomb and pulled myself from the game." That's why I'm setting the table or clearing the bases for our side full-time next time.
May 23, 200817 yr I would like to thank all of you who have provided us at WSI with some great bulletin board material for The Showdown on Thirty Third Street.
May 23, 200817 yr If I remember correctly, you need talent more than bulletin board material. Didn't we win by like twenty runs? i'm looking forward to seeing you guys again. Last year's was a blast. Edited May 23, 200817 yr by Gregory Pratt
