If you were to guess it based off Soxtalk gameday posts you'd think it was in the low 6's and that he was a complete waste of money that we're stuck with now. He's generally been pretty damn effective. Of course he's had a couple bad outings but what pitcher doesn't?

I know he's had a bad outing or 2, but you're right, reading the board I assumed he was in the 4's or so, nothing exceptional. When they showed a 1.85, I was shocked.

i honestly dont remember linebrink being criticized much at all on here...i think everyone has said hes done a pretty darn good job

Linebrink has been soooo good. It's a nice feeling to have a go to guy in the setup role.

 

It seems like 2 now with Dotel.

I haven't seen many bad things posted about Linebrink at all since the season started.

I keep getting him and Dotel confused. They look so much alike.

 

But I'm still pretty sure I've seen Linebrink take some knee-jerk criticism here.

Dotel gives me the willies when he come in, but he has been effective. I hope this keeps up because the games are shortening up for the starters.

Dotel's stats would look alot better if Ozzie knew how to use him.

Now Dotel has taking a lot of s*** for his shaky start to the season, he's come on strong over the past few weeks though. I honestly can't remember a single bad thing being said about Linebrink. I remember a lot people being surprised by how good his stuff was, people who hadn't seem him pitch before assumed he was more of a smoke and mirrors type.

It's cause he's cheating so much in order to avoid being jammed. He put some good passes on those outside fastballs. If we're not placing him on the DL, we just have to hope he finds a way to adjust.

We also were facing some pitchers with control issues, like Dontrelle Willis

2 on 2 out for pinch hitting JIM.

Those first few weeks, anything close was a ball. He had a great eye. Now, he's so out of wack he can't do anything.
