Thome close and late .143

Has he had a hit all year against a loogy.

You can rip me if you want but JT salary he takes up, for his skill level now is way to high to keep in 2009! Great guy but guys are not paid because they are nice.

If we lose tonight, we are looking at our 7th loss when our pitching staff holds a runner to 2 runs or less.

The offense owes the pitching staff a lot of free dinners.

Unfortunately, with the fact that we're putting him in the lineup every day...so far he looks like he's got a good shot at having that option vest.

30 pounds, you are looking at a bit more than 30.

Yeah. If Ramirez added 30, he would look like a short, well-tanned Mike MacDougal. For the love of God, let Ramirez have a spot in front of Toby Hall in the buffet line.

ok so we have our team figured out now. we are going to win our share of games. but come up against an above average pitcher and we will win 10% of those games. so the games we get geared up to play and really going to be a let down as a fan. i am now not expecting much outta this team when it means alot.

I doubt that option will vest. He needed more appearances than he got last year, and his back will flare up again. I still think he'll get hot.

Geez-us christ...just got home and glad to see the offensive juggernaut is once again at it. Glad I didn't rearrange my plans to stay home and watch this garbage.

I wonder how much OC figures he made on his next contract with the 2 meaningless steals.

He did a great job distracting our best run producer in a crucial point in the game.

Who cares. Teams pay for steals.

This might be the kind of time you sub in Ozuna for Crede at 1b if Pablo can still run at all, to avoid the DP and give him a scoring chance.

well hopefully this time we offer him arbitration, we had a free agent that would of netted us picks with Riske and we didnt offer him arbitration.

Great, we take out the guy hitting .400 this month and bring in the guy hitting .200.

If I were AJ I'd swing for the fences. I'm not exactly confident in Anderson or Swisher coming through here if AJ records an out or walks.

Again, we counter with a lefty and they counter with one as well.

Is Fields hurt again? He hasn't played for a while

So bat normal in late situations you say.

Even if it works, swapping out our hottest hitter for an ice cold one for matchup sake is just ugly to me.

Miller's been dominant against lefty hitters this year.

Ugh, he just missed that.

More of that just missed magic.

Ozzie just playing right into Tampa's plans...much like last night.

Shouldn't there be a pinch runner for Crede? Maybe Ozuna's going to bat for Anderson.

If we were playing Seattle I'd feel comfortable about Anderson in this situation.

Anderson gets "Grant Balfour". I assume they added this guy when Percival went on the DL?
