OK, for s***s and/or giggles - who would win Soxtalk's all-important electoral votes?

I'd like to run one of these polls at the beginning of each month (if I remember) with a variety of questions included, like exit polls.

I've got an idea of which way this site leans, but, hey - I'm going to be a social studies teacher. Polls and stuff like this gets me up in the morning.

Can we just assume for VP Pick that the VP pick is at some level a sane choice? Because that's open ended enough that I could say "Well, what if Senator Obama chooses to run with George W. Bush"? You might respond "well that's against the law" and I'd say yes, but it's not ruled out by the poll question. :lolhitting

Did you poke the wrong hole in your ballot? :lolhitting

Sarah Palin as McCain's VP would be a most excellent choice. Would sure make my voting easier.

What if I start a write-in campaign for Carlos Quentin?

Unfortunately, he's not old enough. Even worse, he would have to stop playing for the Sox (or not, actually that'd be pretty awesome wouldn't it?) Good idea though.

And if some jackasses ran on the field like a few years ago, they'd get probably get shot rather than tackled, lol, to keep President Quentin safe...

He isn't from the East Coast, so he wouldn't win.

Im surprised the Libertarian party is gettng such little love. Less government is a good thing, hell if the Articles of Confederation were still around we wouldnt have any of the problems we have today

given the participation in the buster i'm really surprised there are that many more obama votes than mccain. interesting.

I voted for Bednarik 4 years ago (first time i could vote) b/c i wasn't thrilled with Bush and just hated John Kerry. This year i'm not gonna go the third party route though.

Exaggerate much?

Also, you need to read, agree to and acknowledge in the MUST READ thread before posting in the Buster.

We wouldn't have the problems we have today because the country wouldn't exist as we know it.

The country would have fallen apart before the turn of the 19th century.

The way we have our gov't now isn't really how it was planned, that didn't become the way it is until the Civil War. Which, the more I thought about it on my own, was pretty interesting... you want to preserve the Union and end the blatantly immoral practice of slavery (if possible, since the two were linked so closely) but in order to do that you have no choice but to s*** on states' rights and change the role of the federal government forever.

That being said I'm not really convinced we could function in this century with a weaker central government. Smaller certainly, weaker no.
