EVERYONE (except Javy) :cheers

Go get 'em tomorrow! :gosox3:

Hopefully we sweep these guys to get back on track and go into the urinal with some momentum.

Javy hung in there enough to not use up our bullpen so props for doing that.

Great job by the offense today.

Nice debut for Russel!

Buehrle went 8 last year with only 1 ER @ PIT last year (I remember that because I was there). Hopefully he can go 7 tomorrow with only 1 or 2 runs so we only need 4-6 runs of offense.

I luv The Backyardigans.

Tonight was fun, and I love Russell's stuff. Let's not lose 2-1 or something tomorrow, ok? Good.

In a week or two Swish will be up to his career average and people can stop complaining.

Hopefully the can hit the bad lefties they are about to face.......but they never hit bad lefties.

Swish is coming back around, and our offense is a little different look. If Wise can slap the ball around a bit, he could be useful down in the 9 slot.

Alexei is looking good as well. He keeps hitting, and running, catching everything.

Thome's June splits - .279/.385/.651/1.036

Thome's year splits - .221/.346/.465/.812

yeah, but he's washed up and done

Russel still needs to find a way to develop better secondary stuff (the slider he has can be good at times, but too often it flattens out a bit because of the arm angle he throws it from). Either way I love watching good arms throw (and he's got a good arm).

Awesome job by the offense to bail out Javy. Nice win Sox!!!!

Nice to see him hitting when we're already up 7 (again). :chair

Yeah I worry Russell's slider is like Dewon Day's in the sense it grades out well with the movement, but it's effectiveness is null and void to MLB hitters due to the arm angle it's thrown at often times. Hopefully I'm wrong though, I love his fastball and sink, as well as mound presence.

But Jas, the difference is Russell has some sink on his fastball. That could keep him around. Good velocity with sink plays well as a reliever.

As long as he throws strikes he will have a chance.

Wow is right.

I wish I could have seen this game on TV to make up for those 2-0 losses I seem to watch every time.

Kudos to everybody.

What hitting!

Keep it up.

But poor Carlos. Hope he feels good about his three walks, which he should. But still no hits from the slumping sensation.

Nothing like playing Kansas City or Pittsburgh to make all right in the world.

So this is what its like playing Pittsburgh....

It's never a time to be cocky with the hot and cold bats of this team. Rox should have been a cakewalk as well.

Now, let's see them take the next two and I'll feel a little more upbeat going into the weekend – especially of TB can take at least oen more from the northsiders.

I believe he was referencing the fact that the Cubs have played the Pirates something like 9 times already this year.

Either way.. like someone said, nothing like playing Kansas City or Pittsburgh to right a ship.
