July 7, 200817 yr QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 7, 2008 -> 01:39 PM) Looks like a bunch of Red Sox fans voted in that poll... This looks like the work of 1 guy. Not that it really matters
July 7, 200817 yr AFTER FIRST DAY OF ADDITIONAL VOTING: Longoria and Hart leading - per mlb.com "Longoria is followed in a tightly packed American League group by outfielder Jermaine Dye of the White Sox, first baseman Jason Giambi of the Yankees, second baseman Brian Roberts of the Orioles and outfielder Jose Guillen of the Royals." http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...8&fext=.jsp

Get out there and vote, SoxTalk!
July 7, 200817 yr I've been voting all day at work. I've have the window open down in my task bar. Jermaine will get there thanks to the power of Soxtalk!!
July 7, 200817 yr Wow. I am pretty surprised NY does not have Giambi walking away with this. There is a chance.
July 7, 200817 yr Yes sir, whitesox.com says Dye is in the 2nd. I bet Jose Guillen will be loving KC even more when he finishes last.
July 8, 200817 yr Hopefully the Red Sox fans come in and help, I doubt that they want Longoria in there.
July 8, 200817 yr This is interesting.... This is on the White Sox site... This is on the Giants site... Looking at the other team's sites of the final votes this is the only "partnership." In fact the Brewers, Astros, White Sox, and Giants are the only team that have vote for their player in the banner.
July 8, 200817 yr Everyone needs to keep voting b/c according to MLB.com, Longoria currently leads Dye by a slim margin.
July 8, 200817 yr I'm just keeping the window open, and whenever I have a bit of a break, I'm throwing some votes in. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2008/fv/ballot.html
July 8, 200817 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 07:46 AM) i hate when I forget to uncheck the boxes. If you forget it once, you should just leave em in there going forward. They got your email address at that point and will send you stuff (which you can opt out of the emails later).

July 8, 200817 yr QUOTE (chisoxdavid @ Jul 7, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) Hopefully the Red Sox fans come in and help, I doubt that they want Longoria in there. have we talked to them?
July 8, 200817 yr If nothing else, we could get a job as code breakers from reading those ignorant codes.
July 8, 200817 yr QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 11:35 AM) have we talked to them? They helped us out last night. One down, two to go. Red AND White.
July 8, 200817 yr QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jul 6, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) I strongly disagree with all of you. Dye has been very good for us this year, but he does not deserve to get voted in over Longoria. The all star game is made so worthless by all the fan voting. Because the players who are more well liked (usually due to what team they're on) are the ones who become all stars, not the ones who deserve it per their performance on the year. Vote Longoria. If you vote a player in just because he plays for your team than you are just as bad as all those people who voted for the Boston/Yankee players like crazy. The all star game should be a matter of performance, not popularity. Now some could make an argument that Dye is more deserving than Longoria, if you really feel that way than vote for him. But considering that Evan started the year after Dye, and has played GG caliber defense, you gotta put him in there over JD. i want you dead. /green. sort of.
July 8, 200817 yr QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 10:34 AM) just dropped 100. we really gotta make this thing happen. agreed. JD deserves this. I'm trying to get about 50 votes in an hour between work.
July 8, 200817 yr I've been voting for JD non-stop for the past two days, if he doesn't get in voting is clearly rigged.
