I just saw an ad on TV for some new show about Ted Nugent's thoughts or some f***ing s***.

 

As much as I agree with most of what he says, I f***ing hate that guy. You want to be some conservative, patriotic American icon? Where were you in 'Nam, motherf***er? Dude did his best to avoid that s***. 58,000 of our brothers and sisters died fighting to stop the march of communism, and Teddy b****ed out, only to go on in life and act like some sort of macho man.

Noam Chomsky, aka that guy who severely downplayed the Cambodian genocide and then compared its remaining victims to Nazi collaborators during WWII, says that the pro-Israel Christian right is the most anti-Semitic group on Earth and that they want the Jews eliminated.

This goes far beyond disagreeing with Chomsky's politics. He's just a despicable person. A self proclaimed socialist who has gotten rich by milking capitalism and living freely in a country that he openly hates. I'd wonder why he still lives here, but it's obviously because he wouldn't be able to enjoy the comfy intellectual lifestyle that he does in any of the communist, dictatorial s***holes that he loves so much.

 

Noam Chomsky is scum. The only reason I'm not entirely convinced that the world will be better off without him is because he's a senile old fart who is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Actually, come to think of it, that makes me want him to live. For someone as arrogant as him, the realization that he doesn't matter will be worse than death.

 

Also, what separates Noam from Osama? We were happy when Osama died, and rightfully so. After all, he murdered thousands of Americans. So how about Noam? He gave endless moral support to Khmer Rouge thugs who murdered three million Cambodians. I've long believed that supporting murderers or refusing to acknowledge that they are indeed murderers (as Noam clearly did) is no better than being an actual murderer. So I will cheer for his death as I will cheer for the deaths of the Germans who knew about the Holocaust and did nothing, and the Hutus who did not participate in the Rwandan Genocide but chose not to stop it either, and so on.

 

These people are complicit in these crimes and hence deserve no part of this Earth.

Temporary Income Tax Increase May Become Permanent

Chicago - Gov. Pat Quinn suggested Thursday that some or all of the "temporary" income tax increase the General Assembly enacted last January may have to become permanent.

 

It raised the rate on individuals from 3 to 5 percent, generating between $6 billion to $7 billion a year. After 2014, the rate automatically returns to 3 percent, unless legislators and the governor act to extend it.

 

Quinn suggested it might depend on the economy.

 

“If we didn't pass that revenue in January, our state would have been in very dire straits. So I'm glad that happened,” Quinn said. “We'll see, you know, we have to take year by year. Hopefully we'll have a much stronger economy in four years than we have today, or we had yesterday.”

 

Quinn said he still hopes the General Assembly will change its mind and approve several billion dollars in new borrowing. Quinn said he'd use the money to pay Illinois' overdue bills, but some legislators said they don't trust him.

Huntsman is probably the worst of all the GOP candidates in my opinion. Fortunately, he has absolutely no chance at getting the nomination.

Of course you like him, he is a "moderate" who doesn't stand for anything, and he worked in the Obama administration as a Republican. Since he has no spine or standing on anything and he's a "moderate", that makes him the best candidate.

Far as I am concerned, if an individual is willing to stand on their beliefs on issues even if some fall left and some fall right... that takes a heck of a lot more courage than simply jumping into the pool and shouting "see how I am a better version of all these people who feel the saying way!!!" And being a foreign dignitary for the United States, sticking with the job regardless of who the President is, takes a lot more courage than jumping ship out of political weakness.

 

Seriously, this drives me batty, and your view that anyone who isn't lock-step with their party is somehow spineless is a PERFECT image of a major cause of our current political problems.

I believe the reason "moderate" is quoted the way it is, is Kaps belief that he doesn't really stand on anything. He changes as politically prudent, so he is always in the middle-ish.
