The Twins piss me off. Don't they know this division is ours this year? Why won't they go away? Those bastards.

They probably say the same thing about us.

The problem is...outside of 1 year where the Twins weren't really in it...every other year in recent memory where it's come down to these 2 teams...the Twins have come out on top.

2003 and 2006 were the only years the White Sox and Twins were close...this myth of the Twins owning the White Sox in the latter stages of the season is almost 100% due to the Twins winning the last five head-to-head match-ups with the Sox down the stretch that year. Realistically, in 2006, we were dying a slow death in August already and fading with Liriano's ascendance. That danged guy has won 14 games in a row now, between Rochester and the big league level.

Unless they skip a turn in the TOR rotation, the Twins should see Halladay and Marcum, or at least Marcum and Burnett.

Today is the first day of the Twins ultimate doom, or at least I hope. I would love a 3/4 take from LAA and us to take 2/3 from TB, both realistic and that would give us a nice little cushion to work with.

Tex homer to CF...1-0 Angels. Lackey was in trouble in the first, but struck out Morneau and retired Kubel to get out of the threat.

1st and 2nd with 2 outs for the Twins. The score is 1-1.

I hate the Angels and Twins. They are so alike. Can't they both lose.

Baker has been falling behind the Angels all night and it seems like every single 2-0 or 3-1 pitch an Angel will pop out somewhere. It's really frustrating to watch.

As usual, it will come down to the bullpens eventually.

We'll see how Guerrier/Reyes/Crain fare on the road.

Never thought Carlos Gomez was going to get two big hits so far in this game....or that Nick Punto might be making a key offensive contribution.

As DJ would say, "uh-oh." Lackey throws the ball away on Span's bunt attempt, 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 7th. Looks like trouble for the Sox.

Lackey is a mental midget, apparently.

Why do Mauer and Morneau ALWAYS come up in key situations?

Please use Darren Oliver against Morneau, Scioscia.

Well...they got out of it, amazingly enough. All the mo back to the Angels and the Rally Monkey.

Maybe the two best managers in baseball today going at it.

What a great double play turned by the Angels!!!!!

Wow, sick double play. C'mon Angels, pull it out.

Baker has something like a 4-1 K/BB ratio.

He's quietly becoming one of the better pitchers in the AL.

The Angels keep adding offensive players (Hunter, Tex)....but I still think their offense sucks.

Agreed. the bottom half of that lineup, from Anderson to Aybar, is just horrible.

Also, Howie Kendrick must be batting .800 in games I don't watch, as I can't recall ever seeing him hit well when watching.

Yay Guerrier's in. He's bad.

Come on Vlad.

Leadoff double for Span.

Does Scioscia pitch to Mauer or Morneau with a runner at 2nd and 2 outs?

He might.
