Royals vs Sox...Part Trois - Sweep Edition

What's funny is we already got 6 hits. We're abusing Davies worse so far than they are abusing Lance. Through 2 innings at least.

Awful AB there.

Come on JD, duplicate what you did in the 1st.

He took you literally.

Cy Peralta is warming up. :(

Way to go Thome, your BA is back under .250.

SIGH

CQ is getting a ton of deserved MVP talk, but JD should be getting some too

Was just going to post that.

There is no reason to be striking out this much against Davies.

awesome job JD.

Their OPS are only about 20 points apart, actually.

The bad defense is so magnified now as it has made Broadway throw about 20 extra pitches.

coming into today, OBP .371, SLG .511, OPS+ 129...

I know he gets on base a ton, but then why does Swisher get ripped on here so much?

To have your AVG at .258 a week ago and now it's under .250 is a shame.

BTW- guess what I'm eating? Cooooooooooooookie Crisp.

1-2-3 for Lance.

Maybe he can settle and go 6 innings strong. He seems opposite to Richard who would start strong and fall apart by 4th inning.

I like Swisher a lot, but his numbers are down, and his OPS+ is 100, which is average, also his slugging is a lot lower than Jim's at .412. Still, Swisher tore it up in June and is playing CF basically full time. I expected more from him this year, but hopefully he will continue to see a ton of pitches and contribute down the stretch

RISP .278 .310 .443 .753

Broadway getting lots of groundballs today.

Over/Under: Paulie hits the ball 130 feet.

Just get on base Paulie.

A productive under. Way to go PK :gosox3:

Swisher should be starting and Griffey and Konerko should be platooning. Swisher's versatility should get him the consistent at-bats.

I again will state that Broadway's day is nice regardless as the defense has let him down.

Hit it pretty softly in the hole between SS and 3B and the SS dove and bobbled it.

Maybe Paulie can bunt for a basehit next AB!
