Not to bag on Thome, but he talks about wanting to win a WS before he's done. You got to come through in situations he failed in on his last at bat if he truly wants a WS. He needed to drive in those 2 runs and didn't. Dye and CQ can't do it all.

Great question. I forget his age, it's 25 or 26 I believe. He was at Nebraska 3 years, but it's been a big discussion in KC. If he is to be a star, the analysts say, he needs to have shown more than he has so far. He's been a mild disappointment. If he fails to break out next year he may be officially just another decent player instead of an all star type.

He's 24 I believe. George Brett claimed Gordon is better then he was at Gordon's age. He has a good OBP (.355ish) but his BA leaves something to be desired. He's going to be a pain in the behinds for us for many years.

I'm saying a hit there is key and breaks open maybe a game against a s***ty team. If he wants a WS he needs to shorten his swing and poke a hit there. It was a big at bat and a big failure of an at bat. Dye came through; he f***ed up. It all adds up.
