Jerry Owens shouldn't see the field the rest of the season. There is absolutely no reason for him to be starting.

Thank God the designated out got up there, in a pennant race with the bases loaded. There is no reason that this guy comes out of the dugout, unless its to bring the batting gloves into the dugout, or to pinch run late in the game.

 

 

So as far as I can tell, Ozzie benched Swisher (or Wise?)... for Owens. Ozzie CONTINUES to show his lack of managing ability. I'm absolutely flabbergasted that there are (ignorant) people out there that still think he is a good manager.

well that was a completely pissed away opportunity for a big inning. I really hope this is the last time I ever see Owens in a Sox uniform ever again. s***...I'd take Ersty over this overmatched putz.
